It has been quite the grueling task to narrow down my r(R)esearch to one area of interest, let alone a specific question. But after much contemplation and consultation I have picked a path. I have decided to focus on marketing in medical libraries. My research question is: What is the current understanding and practices of marketing in medical libraries?
There is an expectation to do research as part of the Fellowship program I am participating in now. In developing the fellowship it was noted that doing research would not only contribute meaningfully to the library profession, but would also help those interested in academic (and specifically medical/science) libraries better be able to understand the work of the patrons.
